Down on the Farm: 05-26-2010

AAA Fresno Grizzlies beat the Memphis Redbirds 5-3:

Brock Bond- 1 for 1, BB, HBP, S, SB(4). BA= .287.
Eugenio Velez- 3 for 4. BA= .289.
Buster Posey- 1 for 4, HR(6). BA= .343.
Joe Borchard- 2 for 4, 2B, 3B. BA= .317
Steve Edlefsen- 2.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K. ERA= 1.26.
Joe Paterson- 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 1.64.

Bond has been in a bit of a slump. He had 4 productive AB's in this game. Edlefsen allowed 2 inherited runs to score.

AA Richmond Flying Squirrels crashed against the Binghampton Mets 9-1:

Darren Ford- 1 for 3, SF. BA= .242.
Wilmin Rodriguez- 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K's. ERA= 0.00.

The Squirrels mustered just 2 hits in the game. Rodriguez has always had a great arm, but has had control/command issues.

High A Stockton Ports bombed the San Jose Giants 13-3:

Not much to see here. Perez and Belt had 2 hits each. Belt made 2 errors, rare for him. Kyle Nicholson got shelled to run his ERA to 7.07.

Low A: Augusta Greenjackets edged the Rome Braves 3-2:

Ryan Cavan- 2 for 3, 2 2B. BA= .264,
Jorge Bucardo- 7 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 8 K's, GO/AO= 1.95.

Cavan has been struggling after a hot start. Another dominant start for Jorge Bucardo. He's definitely moving up my list of top Giants prospects.
