AAA Fresno Grizzlies doubled up the New Orleans Zephyrs 8-4:
Tyler Graham- 3 for 5, 2B, 2 SB(3). BA= .545.
Buster Posey- 1 for 3, 2 BB. BA= .345.
Joe Borchard- 2 for 4, 2B, BB. BA= .364.
Ben Copeland- 2 for 3 2 2B, 2 BB. BA= .250.
Angel Berroa- 2 for 4, BB. BA= .333
Steve Holm- 1 for 5, HR(2). BA= .209.
Kevin Pucetas- 5 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 5 K's. ERA= 4.50.
Waldis Joaquin- 1.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K, BS, W. ERA= 0.00.
Graham continues with a hot start apparently replacing Mike McBryde who I assume is hurt. It looks like there may be an opening in SF for a RH bat. How about moving Aubrey Huff to LF and playing Buster at 1B? They could also give Borchard a chance, but would have to make a 40 man roster move. Joaquin allowed 2 inherited runners to score before the Grizzly hitters bailed him out with a 4 run top of the 9'th.
AA Bowie Baysox edged the Richmond Flying Squirrels 6-5:
Darren Ford- 2 for 4, BB, SB(9). BA= .238
Roger Kieshnick- 2 for 4, HR(1), BB. BA= .287.
Nick Noonan- 2 for 4. BA= .241.
Thomas Neal- 1 for 4, SF, SB(4). BA= .244.
Clayton Tanner- 3.1 IP, 7 H, 5 R, 1 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 3.15.
Dan Turpen- 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K's. ERA= 2.95.
Good to see Roger Kieschnick hit the long ball as well as the .287 BA. Tough start for Clayton Tanner. Dan Turpen has a 1.56 ERA over his last 10 appearances(17.1 IP).
High A San Jose Giants beat the Visalia Rawhide 6-1:
Juan Perez- 3 for 5, 3B. BA= .301.
Freddy Sanchez- 2 for 4, 2 2B. BA= .500.
Francisco Peguero- 2 for 5, 3B. BA= .299.
Wendell Fairley- 3 for 4. BA= .264.
Ehire Adrianza- 2 for 4, 2 SB(7). BA= .190.
Craig Westcott- 5.2 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 4 K's. ERA= 0.94.
Jason Stoffel- 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 7.71.
Nice to see Wendell Fairley have a multi-hit game. Juan Perez seems like he is an emerging star on this team. Freddy Sanchez makes his first rehab start! Jason Stoffel starts the long process of whittling down his ERA from a couple of disastrous outings.
Low A The entire SAL had the night off.

I don't recall Perez's age, but isn't he a little old for the league?
ReplyDeleteWow, Kieschnick took a long while to figure out how to hit the long ball in AA. I wonder how the home park is affecting stats there, seems like nobody was hitting there all season until lately. It was a neutral park when the Braves played there.
