Sorry for the late post. I had to take off for a meeting and didn't have an internet connection.
Tim Lincecum struggled for the second game in a row hitting the showers after just 4.2 IP and 6 ER's allowed. Control/Command was again the big issue with 5 walks and a HBP contributing to the early exit. Key lines:
Juan Uribe- 2 for 4, HR(6). Uribe continues to be one of the few modest power sources in the lineup.
Aaron Rowand- 2 for 4. BA= .243. Gamer hit 7'th tonight. Hopefully this is the start of him hitting his way out of the bottom of the lineup.
Tim Lincecum- 4.2 IP, 6 H, 6 R, 5 BB, 5 K's. I would say the last two games have dropped Timmy way behind Ubaldo Jimenez and possibly others in the Cy Young race.
The loss drops the Giants to 23-22, 4.5 games behind the Padres who continued their magic against the St. Louis Cardinals in Petco 2-1 in 13 innings on a walkoff HR by Jerry Hairston, Jr. Colorado moved to 0.5 games ahead of the Giants with a 7-3 win over the D'Backs behind the aforementioned Ubaldo Jimenez at 24-22. The D'Backs fell further back in last place at 20-27. Meanwhile, the Dodgers stayed 2 games off the Padres' pace with an 8-5 win over the Cubbies.
