Down on the Farm: 8/4/2012

AAA  Nashville Sounds blasted the Fresno Grizzlies 9-1:

Emmanuel Burriss(2B)- 2 for 4, 3B.  BA= .500.
Frankie Pegs(.260), Conor Gillaspie(.297), Ryan Lollis(.341)- 2 hits each.

AA  Harrisburg Senators blanked the Richmond Flying Squirrels 1-0:

Ehire Adrianza(SS)- 2 for 3, SB(12).  BA= .211.
Chris Gloor(LHP)- 8 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 5 K's.  ERA= 2.12.

Harrisburg scored their run in the bottom of the 8'th inning.

High A  San Jose Giants crushed the Inland Empire 66'ers 10-0:

Adam Duvall(DH)- 1 for 5, HR(23).  BA= .258.
Ricky Oropesa(1B)- 2 for 5, 2B.  BA= .246.
Jarrett Parker(CF)- 2 for 5, 2B, 3B.  BA= .255.
Jarrad Page(LF)- 1 for 3, 3B, BB.  BA= .145.
Andrew Susac(C)- 1 for 3, BB, SF.  BA= .221.
Jack Snodgrass(LHP)- 7 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 1 K.  ERA= 4.20.

Ricky seems to do better on home cooking.  Jarrad Page's career showing some signs of life.  This is a working weekend for me, but I should be done in time to take in this evening's game in San Berdoo.

Low A  Charleston River Dogs dominated the Augusta Greenjackets 6-0:

Galindo(.256) and Buechele(.274)- 2 hits each.

Short Season  Everett Aquasox out hit the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 11-6:

Matthew Duffy(SS)- 2 for 4, 2B, BB, SB(10).  BA= .246.
Stephen Yarrow(1B)- 1 for 2, HR(2).  BA= .171.

Rookie AZL  Giants edged the Angels 2-1:

Randy Ortiz(CF)- 1 for 4, SB(16).  BA= .246.
John Polonius(SS)- 2 for 4, 2B.  BA= .370.
Shayne Houck(3B)- 2 for 3, 2 2B, BB.  BA= .213.
Shilo McCall(LF)- 1 for 3, 2B, BB.  BA= .264.
Brian Burres(LHP)- 2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 4 K's.  ERA= 4.50.
Matt Lujan(LHP)- 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 2.45.
Brandon Farley(RHP)- 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K.  ERA= 0.68.
Eduardo Encinosa(RHP)- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K.  ERA= 2.38.

Burres on a rehab assignment.  Farley has been quietly effective with 13 K's in 13.1 IP, but has also allowed 7 BB's.

DSL  Giants vs Cubs2 suspended after 3 innings with the Giants trailing 2-0.  Must be storming in the DR as almost all the games down there were either postponed, suspended or completed early.
