Jean Machi(RHP)- 1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, Save(14).  ERA= 3.69.

AA  Richmond Flying Squirrels edged the Altoona Curve 2-1:

Mike Kickham(LHP)- 6 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 5 BB, 7 K's.  ERA= 2.91.

Kickham pitches no-hit ball for 6 innings but did allow the 5 BB's.

High A  San Jose Giants pounded the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes 9-4:

Carter Jurica(2B)- 2 for 4, 2 2B, 2 BB.  BA= .300.
Joe Panik(SS)- 2 for 4, BB, SB(10).  BA= .290.
Ricky Oropesa(1B)- 0 for 3, 2 BB, SB(1).  BA= .252.
Chris Lofton(LF)- 3 for 5, 2B, 2 HR(5).  BA= .242.
Dan Burkhart(C)- 2 for 4, 2B, 3B.  BA= .274.
Brad Penny(RHP)- 1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 0 K's.  ERA= 0.00.
Josh Osich(LHP)- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 4.13.

Low A  Augusta Greenjackets smothered the Greensboro Grasshoppers 4-0:

Shawn Payne(LF)- 2 for 4, SB(50).  BA= .313.
Carlos Willoughby(2B)- 2 for 3, SB(9).  BA= .218.
Danny Sandbrink(RHP)- 4 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 1.13.
Steven Neff(LHP)- 3 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 3.68.
Christopher Marlowe(RHP)- 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K's.  ERA= 4.13.

Marlowe seems to run hot and cold.  This was a dominant effort.

Short Season  Salem-Keizer Volcanoes topped the Spokane Indians 2-1 in 13 innings:

Kentrell Hill(CF)- 1 for 4, 2 BB.  BA= .273.
Andrew Cain(PR-DH)- 1 for 2.  BA= .246.
Lorenzo Mendoza(RHP)- 5 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 4 K's.  ERA= 4.37.
Mason McVay(LHP)- 3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 1.32.
Keith Bilodeau(RHP)- 3 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K's. ERA= 4.24.

Hill drove in both runs and Cain scored both.  McVay is a big lefty who is looking like a steal from this year's draft.  He has 40 K's against 13 BB in 27.1 IP.

Rooke AZL  Giants defeated the A's 6-4:

Tyler Hollick(CF)- 1 for 3, BB, SB(18). BA= .286.
Zach Edgington(LHP)- 4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K's.  ERA= 1.65.

DSL  The entire league was postponed due to Hurricane Isaac.
