Tim Lincecum was back in vintage form outdueling Roy Oswalt while the Giants offense provided just enough support as the Giants continued their dominance over the Houston Astros. Key lines:
Aubrey Huff- 2 for 4. BA= .311.
Jose Uribe- 0 for 3, BB. BA= .276. Uribe didn't get a hit, but contributed by drawing a walk and scoring a run.
Pat Burrell- 1 for 3. BA= .250. Burrell has done pretty much what one would expect, provide some power while getting on base enough to offset an uninspiring BA.
Nate Schierholtz- 1 for 1. BA= .268. Nate finds ways to help the team as a sub.
Pablo Sandoval- 1 for 3. BA= .280.
Tim Lincecum- 8 IP, 7 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 7 K's. ERA= 2.86. Great clutch effort by Timmy tonight. He's back!! Durty needs to take notice of how Timmy didn't let 3 errors including one of his own affect his concentration.
Brian Wilson- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K's, Save(20). ERA= 2.05.
WIth the W, the Giants move to 39-30 staying 1.5 games behind the Padres who beat Tampa Bay 2-1. I'm tellin' ya, the Padres are for real!! The Dodgers blew a 3 run lead to the Angels and lost their 4'th straight against their SoCal rivals to fall 3 games behind the Padres and 1.5 games behind the GIants. Colorado remained 4 games behind the leaders with a 2-1 win over the Boston Red Sox. The D'Backs fell 14 games off the pace with a 9-3 loss to the Yankees.
Barry Zito tries to keep it going against the 'Stros tomorrow night.
