AAA Iowa Cubs pounded the Fresno Grizzlies 13-2:
Justin Christian(CF)- 2 for 5, HR(4). BA= .361.
Roger Kieschnick(RF)- 1 for 4, HR(8). BA= .346.
Anthony Rizzo(1B, Cubs)- 2 for 5, 2 HR(9). BA= .357.
I would think the Rizzo is going to be in Chicago soon. He doesn't seem to have anything left to prove in AAA.
AA Richmond Flying Squirrels game against the Harrisburg Senators was postponed.
High A San Jose Giants held off the Modesto Nuts 7-6:
Ricky Oropesa(1B)- 2 for 4, 2B, HR(2), BB. BA= .276.
Seth Rosin(RHP)- 1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 3 K's, Save(5).
Ricky has an OBP of .364. His line over his last 10 games is .289/.386/.474.
Low A Augusta Greenjackets defeated the Hagerstown Suns 8-1 in a shortened game.
Kelby Tomlinson(SS)- 2 for 2, 2 BB, SB(9). BA= .279.
Brett Krill(DH)- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .202.
Edwin Escobar(LHP)- 5 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 4 K's. ERA= 2.22.
Seems like Escobar has been around forever, but he just turned 20 yo. He's the 4'th youngest player on the Augusta roster.
