I think that the minor league ranks need to make some changes to give some other prospects a shot.
ReplyDeleteAugusta:
Why does Biagini keep getting starts? Do you think that they are protecting Gregorio and don't want to "rush" him until he pitches for Salem-Keizer later this summer? Or do you think they are just keeping the spot warm for Mejia after has some more success out of the pen?
Also where is RafRod? I think I have seen enough of Eshelman playing CF and it is time to move Shawn Payne to center or move him up to San Jose for some better competition.
San Jose:
I am not very thrilled with Devin Harris continuing to get at bats and would love to see Payne up there ASAP.
DrB, are there any other changes you wish the Giants would make in their minor league assignments?
Excellent questions:
DeleteI believe the Giants believe that Biagini has a big upside and want to try to develop that.
Not sure what the deal with Gregorio is. Hurt? Ticketed for S-K?
I also have no idea about RafRod. I assume he's in extended ST for some reason but have not heard that he's hurt.
I agree that Payne should be up in Fresno.
Otherwise I think the assignment are OK so far.
