This was easily Cricky's best start in about 3 years.

Garvey is hitting .346 over his last 8 games. Romo begins another rehab assignment.

Some of my favorite prospects here. Geraldo skipped over the AZL after 2 seasons in the DSL. He struggled early there and now surfaces in Salem-Keizer. Love his size, switch-hitting and positional versatility. Zach Bowers signed out of HS last year. He may be a sleeper catcher in the system. We all know about Gustavo. Victor Concepcion skips over the AZL after 2 seasons in the DSL. A bit of a mixed bag in his stateside debut. Caleb Simpson is a 6'3", 220 lbs RHP drafted out of JC ball in 2013. He made a few appearances in the AZL that year and has no record since then. I was not able to find any information on what he's been doing in the meantime except a note that the Giants signed him in June of this year.

I thought Gustavo Cabrera was at Augusta? Did he suffer a setback or injury?
ReplyDeleteI think Gustavo has had a couple of minor injuries during his time in Augusta. It's not unusual for the Giants to transfer some of their Augusta players to Salem-Keizer once the summer leagues start. The Augusta roster was quite full and players were having to juggle playing time.
