Down on the Farm: 6/8/2016

AAA  Sacramento River Cats were idle.

AA  Richmond Flying Squirrels edged out the New Hampshire Fisher Cats 4-3:

Ryder Jones 3B- 3 for 4, HR(7).  BA= .256.
Ricky Oropesa 1B- 2 for 4.  BA= .231.
Matt Gage LHP- 6 IP, 10 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 3.86.

Rogers runs his scoreless innings streak to 28.2.

High A  San Jose Giants were idle.

*********************************************************************************

Low A  Augusta Greenjackets defeated the Columbia Fireflies 7-3:

Jalen Miller 2B- 2 for 5.  BA= .267.
Miguel Gomez 3B- 2 for 4, 2B, HR(4).  BA= .341.
Kelvin Beltre SS- 1 for 3, 2B, BB.  BA= .246.
Skyler Ewing 1B- 3 for 4.  BA= .204.
Cory Taylor RHP- 6 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K's.  ERA= 1.89.
Jake McCasland RHP- 3 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 1.48.

Jalen Miller is showing some staying power.  Kelvin Beltre seems to be slowly gaining some traction offensively.  I think Miguel Gomez can hit.

    1. 81 WAR. Best WAR-based draft record in the majors over the past decade. Can't win them all, but they've won more than everyone else.

  4. I was hoping to see some draft coverage posts this evening. Did pick this up from ESPN:

    Keith Law
    ESPN Senior Writer
Love the Bryan Reynolds pick by SFG. Athletic switch hitter with power and chance to stay in center.

    Sweet.

  5. BA had Reynolds as the #31 rated draft prospect. Sounds like he's a good value pick. This is why I look forward to the draft since the org does a good job drafting good players no matter what round.
