AAA Colorado Sky Sox beat the Fresno Grizzlies 7-2(Is it just me or has this series been going on forever?):
Edgar Gonzalez(SS)- 3 for 4, 2B. BA= .270.
Not much to see here.
AA Bowie Baysox edged the Richmond Flying Squirrels 3-2:
Clayton Tanner(LHP)- 6 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 4 K's, GO/AO= 10/4. ERA= 4.47.
Dan Klein(RHP, Baysox)- 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 1.08.
The Squirrels managed just 2 hits in the game. Klein was the closer for UCLA last year.
A+ Visalia Rawhide blanked the San Jose Giants 4-0:
Gary Brown(CF)- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .371.
Kelvin Marte(LHP)- 6 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 1 K, GO/AO= 10/4. ERA= 2.63.
Jose Valdez(RHP)- 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K's. ERA= 6.85.
Diogenes Rosario(RHP, Rawhide)- 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 3.45.
Encouraging outing for Jose Valdez after a rough patch. Never heard of Rosario before and nothing special about the line. I just love his first name! Diogenes? When I was growing up in the hills above the Napa Valley, there was a beautiful yellow flower that grew there called Diogenes Lantern. Here's a great Jeopardy question: A: What Diogenes was looking for with his lantern. Q: What is an honest man?
Low A Augusta Greenjackets pounded the Asheville Tourists 13-6:
Carlos Willoughby(2B)- 2 for 4, 2B, BB, S, SB(23). BA= .288.
Josh Mazzola(DH)- 3 for 4, 3B, 2 BB. BA= .221.
Rafael Rodriguez(LF)- 1 for 6, 2B, Assist(home). BA= .243.
Chris Lofton(CF)- 3 for 5, 2B, HR(1), BB. BA= .256.
Justin Schumer(RHP)- 4 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 0 BB, 3 K's. ERA= 7.12.
Peter Tago(RHP, Tourists)- 2.1 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 5 BB, 3 K's. ERA= 4.73.
I just love Willoughby's lines game after game. Lofton is hitting .371 over his last 10 games and has been hot longer than that. He was a JC draftee who just turned 21 yo, so he's age appropriate for the league too. Peter Tago was a supplemental round draftee last year for the Rockies. He doesn't turn 19 until later this summer. He was ranked as Colorado's #5 prospect by BA.
DSL Yankees1 edged the Giants 5-4:
Franklin Matamoros(3B, 17 yo)- 2 for 4. BA= .286.
Not much else to see here.

I agree with you on Willoughby. Guy is a great contact hitter, gets on base, and steals bases efficiently. He's a little old (he's 22), but I think he could move quickly considering his skill set. At the worst, I see him as a Eugenio Velez-like player with better plate patience.
