Conor Gillaspie(3B)- 1 for 2, BB, SF, S. BA= .293.
Thomas Neal(LF)- 3 for 4, 2B, BB. BA= .375.
Mark Kroon(RHP)- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K's, Save(12). ERA= 3.10.
Graham reached base in all 5 of his PA's. I think he could help some MLB team as a 4'th OF. Was this Marc Kroon's last appearance for the organization?
AA Bowie Baysox topped the Richmond Flying Squirrels 4-2:
Roger Kieschnick(RF)- 1 for 3, HR(3). BA= .235.
Drew Biery(1B)- 0 for 3. BA= .000.
Daryl Maday(RHP)- 6.1 IP, 9 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 7 K's, GO/AO= 11/1. ERA= 3.83.
Alex Hinshaw(LHP)- 1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 3.00.
Richmond is just not a very interesting team right now. Noonan and Culberson are slumping. Monell is struggling. Kieschnick is about the only position player showing signs of life. Biery gets the promo from Augusta. Hopefully we'll see Gary Brown before too long.
A+ San Jose Giants blanked the Stockton Ports 2-0:
Ryan Cavan(2B)- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .279.
David Mixon(RHP)- 7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 7 K's. ERA= 1.88.
Heath Hembree(RHP)- 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's, Save(18). ERA= 0.87.
Hembree is another guy who looks like he needs to be promoted. The Giants have been challenging him with back-to-back games quite often. His line for his last 10 appearances: 0-0, 0.93, 9.2 IP, 3 BB, 18 K's with 10 Saves.
Low A Augusta Greenjackets beat the Rome Braves 5-3:
Carlos Willoughby(2B)- 1 for 4, S, 2 SB(22). BA= .284.
Ehire Adrianza(SS)- 2 for 5, 2B, HR(2). BA= .175.
Josh Mazzola(1B)- 1 for 4, HR(4), BB. BA= .205.
Ryan Lollis(DH)- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .500.
Shawn Sanford(RHP)- 7 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 4 K's. ERA= 2.75.
Brett Bochy(RHP)- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 1.04.
Lollis gets sent down from San Jose, presumably to get more opportunity to play. Sanford's GO/AO was only 7-6, but the Greenjackets infield turned 4 DP's.
DSL Giants shut out the Marlins 3-0:
Luis Vasquez(C, 20 yo)- 1 for 1, 3 BB. BA= .333.
Carlos Diaz(LHP, 17 yo)- 4.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K's. ERA= 0.00.
DSL Giants have allowed just 1 run in their first 3 games.

I think I heard Main has injury issues. No details.

ReplyDeleteDon't expect much out of Biery. He couldn't hit a beach ball in San Jose.
I also guess Henry Sosa refused assignment cuz he's nowhere to be found on the Richmond roster. Also seems like they've given up on Mike McBryde and his unfortunate laundry list of injuries. The guy had some great potential a couple years ago.
Main should be back in the rotation soon...
