Scouting the 2017 Draft: SEC

The Southeastern Conference is a powerhouse college baseball conference headed by the mighty Vanderbilt.  Again, this is a situation where you may be better off drafting a complementary player from an SEC team than a star from a weaker conference.  Again, we exclude players we've already profiled.

LSU:

Greg Deichmann, IF.  6'2", 209 lbs.  .322/.430/.614, 19 HR, 47 BB, 51 K, 253 AB.

Arkansas:

Chad Spanberger, 6'3", 235 lbs.  .305/.389/.619, 20 HR, 26 BB, 65 K, 239 AB.
Trevor Stephen P, 6'5", 225 lbs.  6-3, 2.87, 91 IP, 20 BB, 120 K.  Love the size, love the K's and K/BB.

Auburn:

Jonah Todd.  .376/.471/.471, 9 SB, 37 BB, 28 K, 242 AB.
Keegan Thompson P.  6'2", 209 lbs.  7-4, 2.91, 93.1 IP, 17  BB, 75 K.

Texas A&M:

Brigham Hill P.  6'0", 185 lbs.  8-3, 3.29, 90.1 IP, 28 BB, 101 K.

Mississippi:

Tate Blackman, IF, 6'0", 195 lbs.  .302/.420/.525, 9 HR, 9 SB, 34 BB, 46 K, 202 AB.
David Parkinson, P, 6'2", 210 lbs.  6-3, 3.39, 77 IP, 24 BB, 76 K.

Kentucky:

Riley Mahan IF.  .340/.396/.632, 15 HR, 9 SB, 21 BB, 51 K, 250 AB.

Vanderbilt:

Will Toffey IF, 6'2", 205 lbs.  .349/.478/.568, 9 HR, 5 SB, 48 BB, 28 K, 192 AB.
Jason DeLay C(Sr).  .301/.378/.439.(drafted last year by the Giants, did not sign).

Missouri:

Bryce Montes De Oca RHP.  6'7", 260 lbs.  4-5, 4.28, 61 IP, 42 BB, 61 K.  Of interest mainly for his massive size.
