AAA  Sacramento River Cats fought off the Fresno Grizzlies 7-3:

Christian Arroyo 3B- 1 for 3, HR(4), 2BB.  BA= .441.
Mac Williamson DH- 1 for 3, 2B. 2 BB.  BA= .274.
Jae-Gyun Hwang 1B- 3 for 4, HR(6), BB.  BA= .293.
Carlos Moncrief RF- 2 for 4, BB.  BA= .304.
Juniel Querecuto SS- 3 for 5, 2B.  BA= .259.
DJ Snelton LHP- 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K.  ERA= 3.86.
Kyle Crick RHP- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K.  ERA- 2.96.

-Arroyo was sent down to work on pitch selection and draws 2 BB's.
-Hwang is on fire.  When, where, how do the Giants find out what they have in him at the MLB level?
-After a rough introduction to AAA, Snelton has settled in.  Is he putting himself in the conversation for an MLB role?
-When do the Giants trust Cricky enough to give him an MLB look?


AA Richmond Flying Squirrels were idle.


High A  Lancaster Jethawks blanked the San Jose Giants 4-0:

Michael Connolly RHP- 8 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 6 K's, GO/AO= 12/3.  ERA= 3.63.


Low A  Augusta Greenjackets were idle.


DSL  Reds outscored the Giants 11-6:

  1. Personally, I'd like Hwang to come up. See what he can do against MLB pitching.

    And Crick. Wow. What a turn-around. Even though his walks are still high (4.1BB/9), his K/9 is 11.9. That's sweet. And considering the way half the bullpen is throwing right now... I'm hoping comes up to the 40-man, possibly earlier if someone goes on the DL.
