Michael Cederoth RHP- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 0.00.

-Jonah Arenado is on an extended hot streak hitting .352 since May 19.
-Not sure how or when the Giants acquired Michael Cederoth, but he was the 3'rd round draft pick of the Twins in 2014 out of San Diego St.  He's 6'6" and has been known to hit triple digits with the FB.  He last pitched in the Twins organization last year for Cedar Rapids in the MWL.  His big problem has always been command although he found success as a closer his junior season in college.  I am not sure what role he had last year but at one point the Twins tried him as a SP.

  1. How do you feel about Fabian's season thus far? Not quite enough? Reasonable? Above expectations?

    1. About what I expected from Sandro Fabian, maybe a bit better. He's very young(19) playing in a pretty extreme pitching friendly environment.

    2. Right on. If he moves up to A+ San Jose next year, that's where we'll see if the power is developing.

  2. The Twins released Cederoth on May 19th and the Giants signed him on the 23rd. His numbers look decent, and coupled with the fact he was a third rounder, there must be some non-baseball issues that the Twins decided to move on from (total guess).

    1. Or maybe he was coming off an Injury?

    2. Of course anything is possible, but why would they give up on him when he was just a few weeks away from getting back on the field?

I have no idea. Just posing some scenarios. He just seems like too much of a legit prospect to be released like he was.
