The Bane of the Reliever: one sort of bad outing in a SSS.
ReplyDeleteDoc is very high on 2020 4th round draftee, R.J. Dabovich. He started his professional career in A+ Eugene then jumped to Richmond after striking out 19.9 batters per 9 innings in 11 games last year.
He held his own at a -2.7 year differential in AA, then upped to AAA this year after 26.2 excellent innings.
A 0.2 inning-2 run outing ballooned his stats but has been shutdown in 4 innings since in Sacramento where his age differential is -4.4 years.
Doc's prophecy: "He could jump to the head of the reliever pack when it comes time to replenish the bullpen midseason" should come true soon and he'll be a year-and-a-half younger than Camilo Doval, the youngest player on the Giants.
He's also a month younger than Kervin Castro but 7 months older than Gregory Santos who have appeared for the Giants this year.
Youth is coming.
