AAA Fresno Grizzlies topped the Tucson Padres 4-3:
Andres Torres(CF)- 2 for 4, BB, SB(1), Assist, Home). BA= .267.
Mark DeRosa(3B)- 2 for 4. BA= .375.
Nice game for Torres. This line is more convincing that he's really ready to come back than a HR in 4 AB's. I'm ready to see what DeRosa can do with some consecutive AB's at 3B in Pablo's absence.
AA Altoona Curve defeated the Richmond Flying Squirrels 7-2:
Roger Kieschnick(RF)- 2 for 4. BA= .185
Johnny Monell(C)- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .207.
Justin Fitzgerald(RHP)- 5.2 IP, 9 H, 6 R, 1 BB, 3 K's. ERA= 3.99.
David Quinowski(LHP)- 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K. ERA= 1.77.
Kieschnick and Monell need to string together a few multi-hit games. Tough outing for Fitz. He has pitched well as you can see from his ERA after this poor outing. I wonder if Q will ever get a chance to pitch in the majors?
A+ San Jose Giants downed the Bakersfield Blaze 7-3:
Gary Brown(CF)- 1 for 3, BB, HBP, SB(19). BA= .357.
Ryan Cavan(2B)- 2 for 4, BB. BA= .248.
Hector Sanchez(DH)- 2 for 5, 2B, HR(3). BA= .267.
Chris Dominguez(3B)- 1 for 4, HR(7). BA= .279.
Chris Heston(RHP)- 7 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 6 K's. ERA= 3.31.
Heath Hembree(RHP)- 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K's, Save(8). ERA= 0.82.
Brown has a very nice game and his BA drops! Dominguez continues to show impressive power with an adequate BA. I like the way Sanchez is coming along as a hitter. Hembree is a legitimate closer prospect.
Low A West Virginia Power outhit the Augusta Greenjackets 12-6:
Robert Haney(SS-2B)- 2 for 5. BA= .250.
Ryan Scoma(DH)- 2 for 5, HR(2). BA= .265.
Devin Harris(RF)- 2 for 5, 2B. BA= .245.
Sundrendy Windster(1B)- 1 for 2, HR(1). BA= .118.
Rafael Rodriguez(LF)- 2 for 4, Assist(home). BA= .295.
Matt Graham(RHP)- 0.1 IP, 2 H, 4 R, 3 BB, 0 K's. ERA= 5.40.
Edward Concepcion(RHP)- 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 4.70.
Jameson Taillon(RHP, Power)- 5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 5 K's. ERA= 1.64.
RafRod seems to have moved over to LF for several games now with Harris moving to RF. Another rough outing for Matt Graham. Concepcion had one terrible appearance but has been otherwise solid. Taillon was the #2 overall pick in last year's draft for the Pirates.
