  2. Until Belt solves his strikeout problems, I think he and the Giants would be better off with him staying in AAA and adjust there rather in the majors. If he's struggling here, he sure as hell will be struggling in the majors.

Wow, Kieschnick, haven't heard his name in a long time, if he gets hot enough to warrant a promotion, would there even be any space for him up in AAA? Seems pretty crowded already as it is in Fresno.

Surkkkkkamp strikes again! Another great outing, he should be getting a promotion soon himself, one would think, with the paucity of quality potential replacements in AAA. Though that hasn't stopped the Giants from promoting from AA before, maybe he stays there all season.

  3. Unless you believe that clutch hitting is a skill, and there is a ton of evidence that in most cases it is not, I don't think it really matters whether there are runners in scoring position when you strike out in any given game. If you are going 1 for 3 with a BB every game, it will all even out in the long run. Belt hit a grand slam a few games ago. Was that clutch hitting, or did he just happen to hit a HR with the bases loaded? If it was clutch hitting, did he all of a sudden lose that skill over a span of 3 or 4 games?
