Might have left Anderson out in the heat too long, final blow was 3-run homerun in 6th around pitch 100.
ReplyDeleteMac might have shortchanged a little on the BA: .308/.413/.643 -- perhaps a genuine threat for the power deprived mother club?
Free Andrew McCutchen and set-up an all Giant OF!
Yes! Install all-Giant OF that would have them 5-6 wins better than they are now. Maybe the Yankees could come shopping for McCutch to get them through Judge's DL and send us one of their top 100 prospects? Win-win-win as Cutch might like to try to win a World Series with a team that can actually do it this year.
ReplyDeleteCleveland is also desperate for OF help and have already shown their willingness to trade top prospects. Realistic trade pieces at this point are Cutch, Dyson, Holland, Smith, Watson, and maybe Hundley. Throw in any of the core 5 and that is a ton of talent they could use as currency to upgrade for next season and beyond. The fans have been loyal as hell and it shouldnt affect attendace next season at all if they make a few big moves in the offseason. Now isnt the time to let pride cloud judgement, management made a good effort to compete this year but they need to be honest with themselves at this point and realize this isnt our year.
