Evan Longoria successfully starts his rehab assignment.  Chris Stratton had his strikeout stuff going tonight.

Nice game for padding the stat lines.  Frankie Tostado might be ready for bigger challenges.  He has struck out just 2 time in 49 PA over his last 10 games.  He is hitting .432 in that span.  He is 20 yo.  Drafted last year out of Oxnard CC but did not get in any games in 2017.

Bryan Hernandez is 18 yo.  18'th round draft pick this year.  He got a significantly over-slot bonus, so we'll keep an eye on him.

    Tostado needs to come to the NWL, but where would they play him?

    Nice to see Canrio start to hit stateside.

    Abdiel Layer has been heating up of late too.

    Toribio just keeps on hitting and Juliana's stats make him appear to be an interesting lead off type.

How nice would it be for the Giants to stand pat at the deadline with Longoria and Williamson returning and performing the power duties with Belt, Strickland returning to shore up the 7th inning with Melancon, Watson taking the 8th and Smith the closer. Moronta and Black the emergency stoppers and Blach the long man. Bum, Cueto, Rodriguez, Suarez and Holland are your SPs -- Mac, Duggar and Cutch in the OF with Gorkys #4, Longo, Crawford Panik and Belt with Panda and Hanson utility, Posey and Hundley Cs. Keep the farm intact, keep the chemistry intact and trust these guys to step it up and win.
