1 comment:

  1. Jason Barr, listed at 6'5" and 195 lbs, tall and lanky, has a large step towards the plate, which may make his fastball appear to reach the batters a bit quicker than most. He threw 51 of 74 pitches for strikes, mixing his fastball (topping at 91 MPH to start, but hitting 89 in the 6th inning) with an offspeed pitch at 81 and a nice curve in the mid 70's. He was assisted by two double plays. All the Giants pitchers worked quickly with the game lasting only 2 hours and 18 minutes. Nolan Riggs is a large man - 6'8" and 255 lbs. His fastball reached 93 MPH as he struck out 5 of his 6 batters. Van Horn's home run was a no-doubter to left center field. He also drove in a run with a ground out after Fargas reached on an error and then stole both second and third. APGiantsfan
