Attended the Little Giants game in Visalia last night. Reggie Crawford started and gave up two loud homeruns. He was throwing hard, but there did not seem to be much movement on his fastball. He is going to have to develop some movement and work on some sort of off-speed pitch. He is obviously a work in progress. Was impressed with Hayden Birdsong. The first hit he gave up was a smash toward third that Anthony Rodriguez stopped, but could not get off a strong throw. The next batter hit one down the first base line that the first baseman should have stopped, but Higgins looked like he was stuck in mud as he attempted to stop the ball and it got past him. Birdsong got out of the inning without giving up a run. With decent fielders, he would have only given up one hit. The home run that Zack Morgan hit was a line drive shot. Velasquez got hit by a pitch in the ankle area and left the game after one inning. APGiantsfan
