The full season leagues had their usual Monday off day, but the complex league seasons got started today. Like last year, I am not going to post a summary of each and every complex league game. I will keep an eye on their boxscores and stat pages and post developments I think might be significant but posting a summary of every game is just too exhausting. The vast majority of the players at these levels will neve rmake it to a full season league let alone the majors anyway.
With that out of the way, here are a few lines from today's games that caught my eye:
DSL:
Dario Reynoso 3B- 2 for 5, 3B. 18 yo B-R, T-R playing first pro game batting third in lineup.
Alfonso Perez RHP- 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K. Second pro season but still only 17 yo. 6' 2", 175 lbs.
Moises De La Rosa LF- 3 for 4. BA= .750. 18 yo 2'nd DSL season.
Aneyelo Gonzalez C- 2 for 3, HR(1), BB. 18 yo B-L, T-R first pro season.
ACL:
Ryan Reckley SS- 0 for 3, 2 BB. 18 yo former 7-figure bonus baby. 18 yo B-S, T-R. Barely played in the DSL last season. Needs to find some traction this year.
Guillermo Williamson LF- 1 for 3, 2B, BB. 19 yo, second pro season and second season in ACL. Showed impressive power last year with 7 HR's but was a 3-true outcomes guy with a BA of .224. Needs to make more contact this season.
Juan Perez C- 2 for 4, HR. 18 yo graduate of DSL. B-R, T-R.
Seth Corry LHP- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K's. Rehab assignment post TJ surgery. Will Bednar RHP also assigned to ACL for rehab.
