Tyler Herb RHP- 7 IP, 8 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 4 K's, GO/AO= 13/2.  ERA= 2.43.

-Herb is a college draftee in his 4'th minor league season which would make him Rule 5 Draft eligible unless the Giants put him on the 40 man roster this winter.

Joey Marciano LHP- 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 1.05.

-Seth Corry has had his ups and downs in his pro debut.
-Aaron Bond is showing off 5 tools, well, at least 3.  I don't have much of a read on his caching and throwing.
-A Mac Marshall sighting!

DSL Season is in the books.  Giants finished in second place in their division, 3.5 games out of first.  We'll do some season recaps after the rest of the minor league season is done.

  1. Do you know who else is Rule 5 Draft eligible?
There are at least 6 who are probably off the 40-man when the season is over, several that could go this afternoon and probably will September 1.
Are Calixte and Hwang worth hanging onto? Trevor Brown?
    Surely Mike Morse is toast.
And Mac will get a last (?) bite beginning Friday.
Is the bell tolling the O's?

  2. Seth Corry: young, nearly unhittable, strikes out many, walks too many. When you walk a guy per inning, you're too often a hit away from allowing a run.
Well, Crick did that for a long time!
