  1. I'm glad to read that Cueto and Panik are doing their rehab work. I hope they come back and set the MLB on fire to finish out the season and give us reason to have hope for next year. And, of course, the same for Belt once he gets over his symptoms.

Suarez: Like what he's doing in the very tough PCL.

Krook: Did they make him a reliever? I've noticed his innings have gone way down the last couple months. Instead of doing 5 & 6, he's doing 1-to-3.

    1. Although he gives all he's got, operates at 110%, is as earnest and dedicated as anyone can be, has a killer arm that should be a red light at 3rd, is there any real hope for Parker at the ML level?

    2. Jarrett Parker? Yes, of course there is real hope! Parker has as much raw power as anyone in the organization. He's a patient hitter who doesn't mind taking walks. Yes, he strikes out a lot but a lot of that is a byproduct of his patience and selectivity at the plate. He's a bit streaky for my taste and possibly for the Giants tastes too, but I believe if you ran him out there for 150 games and just took the good with the bad, you'd end up with an OBP of about .350 and an SLG of about .450.

    3. Bingo! Just looked up Parker's stats in Fangraphs. His cumulative MLB line so far is .266/.350/.465 in 306 PA's. Whether it's Parker or Slater or someone else, If that's the production the Giants get from their LF over the next 5 years, I'm a happy fan!
