The Giants lineup put together a rare sustained rally in the fourth inning and Kyle Harrison LHP went 7 shutout innings to lead the Giants to a much needed win. Key Lines:
Jung Hoo Lee CF- 3 for 5. BA= .264. Lee's first MLB 3-hit game.
Lamonte Wade Jr 1B- 1 for 2, 3 BB. BA= .351. LMWJ continues to be an on-base machine.
Nick Ahmed SS- 2 for 4. BA= .245. Ahmed drove in a run and later scored on in the 4-run 4'th inning.
Kyle Harrison LHP- 7 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 2 K. GO/AO= 11/6. ERA= 3.20. Harrison pitched to contact and threw just 86 pitches in 7 innings.
The team needed that game. While it may not really change anything, it gives the team a break from the gloom.
ReplyDeleteThe game was a start in the right direction. A few of the hits in the 4th run inning were squibbers, but they worked. Coors Field played small yesterday as it was so cold. Next two games, forecast is similar. Wednesday game is a day, game that should produce more offense. Jordan Hicks and Keaton Winn look to keep the ball on the ground.
ReplyDeleteRockies look like a bad college team swinging wood bats for the first time! Couldn’t have faced them at a better time. If they want to gain momentum from 3 days in Denver they will need to go at least .500 against the Reds and Dodgers after this. Used to be a lot more teams that we could look forward to facing but they are few and far between now which means we are the team that other teams look forward to facing! Time to put together some wins against good teams after this!
