  1. Unfortunately, Bishop's BABIP of .448 in 11 games in Sacramento is not sustainable.

  2. Will keeping McCray in AA protect him from Rule 5 next December?

    1. No. The only thing that would protect McCray from the Rule 5 draft is to add him to the 40-man roster, but that doesn't have to to happen until November.

    2. Oops – question was misstated!
Would keeping him at AA deter prospective teams from grabbing him where a good showing in AAA might tempt them?
It seems that hitting .233 in Richmond doesn't stand out. His slash looks better: .223/.333/.460/.793), and his 6 HRs and error-free CF are good.
His age is below average for his level.

    3. I think it all depends on how he does over the remainder of the season. Teams would not pass on him just because he was at AA.

  3. Can we trade McCray and Bishop to patch a hole at SS with Jackson Holliday? Anyone except Reggie Crawford who I think has next level stuff.

  4. What about Fitz/Wisely SS platoon and whoever's not starting is an any-position super-sub (& can pinch run)?

  5. Wade injury makes Bishop even more compelling.
