"When the Giants Come to Town..." is my blog intended to chronicle my thoughts on San Francisco Giants baseball. My special interest is in prospects and the farm system, but of course, will comment on all aspects of the San Francisco Giants. I will also comment on baseball in general, particularly from a fantasy baseball perspective. I hope you will find the site informative, and invite you to join in the discussion.
This is written knowing it will be long lost by the time this series with NY is over but bringing Hicks back to face the Yankee MEAT in the 6th inning was nuts.
ReplyDeleteHe already had hung his last pitch to Judge to account for the 3-spot, what was Melvin thinking. Hicks is a "converted" reliever, he's not going to be ready to throw 100 pitches in a game this year. The only time he has pitched 65 innings in one season was in 65 games - an entire season, one inning per game spread over one season. Melvin had a reasonably rested bull pen and he blew it.
You didn't miss much
