San Jose coach Gary Davenport, Jimmy's son?, mentioned on their podcast that Joey Bart has been regaining strength in his hand since returning from the DL, and his abs have been improving and he'll live up to the hype surrounding him. So I'm not concerned about him, and maybe this adversity will make him a better player in the future.
ReplyDeleteI found this tweet last night, the current situation in the PCL is insane.
ReplyDeleteaverage ERA coming into tonight for the Pacific Coast League was 5.33, there were 131 runs scored in the PCL tonight over nine games with one inning remaining in the final game (7.2 runs per team)... how in the world do you pitch in the PCL?
In the overall scheme of things, considering how this year is going, would
ReplyDeleteChris Shaw LF- 3 for 5, HR(6). BA= .299
Austin Slater 1B- 2 for 5. BA= .302
Abiatal Avelino SS- 2 for 4, HR(6). BA= .278
be any worse than the guys they would replace on the Giants' roster?
See the comment above. You can also check the AAA numbers for current players or MLB/AAA numbers for players who recently moved up and down.
DeleteUnfortunately AAA numbers are not good indicators for MLB success/failure.
