AAA  Sacramento River Cats blanked the Las Vegas Aviators 1-0:

Abiatal Avelino 3B- 2 for 3.  BA= .283.
Enderson Franco RHP- 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 6.49.
Pat Venditte LHP/RHP- 3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K's.  ERA= 1.91.
Williams Jerez LHP- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K.  ERA= 3.04.
Fernando Abad LHP- 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K's, Save(6).  ERA= 2.18.

Avelino is hitting .311 over his last 10 games.  Enderson Franco has a decent K/BB of 41/15 in 43 IP, but sports the ugly ERA.  This was Pat Venditte's 3'rd consecutive appearance of 3 innings or more.  He's allowed just 2 ER in 9.2 IP with 15 K's and 2 BB's in that span.  He's allowed just 2 ER in 13.1 IP with 23 K's and 2 BB's in his last 5 appearances.  Williams Jerez logged some flying miles this week as he was on the MLB active roster for just one day during the Marlins series.  We could see Venditte, Jerez and Fernando Abad all in SF for an extended look once the trading season is completed.

Johneshwy is hitting .294 over his last 10 games.  Matt Winn has been fairly invisible since starting the season late on April 29.

A 3-run bomb by otherwise light-hitting Olivier Basabe ruined what could have been a sensational night for Matt Frisbee.
