AAA: Sacramento River Cats defeated the El Paso Chihuahuas 6-3.
Trenton Brooks 1B/LF- 1 for 4, HR(18). BA= .297.
Luis Gonzalez RF- 3 for 4, 2B. BA= .268.
Donovan Walton 2B- 3 for 4, HR(3). BA= .286.
I really like Brooks minor league stat lines. Strong K and BB rates with decent HR power. Not sure why he didn't seem to fit into the plans of a team like the A's. We don't have defensive metrics for the minor leagues but he seems to be a 1B/corner OF/DH type which is a tougher sell for the MLB level. Luis Gonzalez must have cleared waivers. Will Donny Walton ever get another shot at a MLB job?

Quinn McDaniel 2B- 2 for 4. BA= .286.
Might as well throw another rookie out there – LH batting outfielders are Meckler and Sabol, neither the power bat that the Giants need – is Brooks?
