The way the Giants are going it could be time to look at Fitzgerald and Meckler BUT who to cut from the 40-man?
ReplyDeleteFitzgerald as Rule 5 might make sense, Meckler's not until 2025.
The Amazing Meckler doesn't seem to know he's supposed to have to adjust as he climbs the latter. AAA ̶w̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶p̶r̶o̶b̶a̶b̶l̶y̶ is likely to adjust to him – he does have a weakness, doesn't he?
2019 Draft Pick 3 Grant McCray will be 25 in December and is Rule 5 Eligible.

Will anyone productive come out of the 2019 Draft? Tyler Fitzgerald? Trevor McDonald? Chris Wright? Cole Waites? Nick Avila?

DeleteI'm hoping they keep Grant McCray on the 40 man roster. Pat Burrell, their roving minor league hitting instructor has spoken highly of him. He has some offense tools 11 hrs 39 sbs, he'll take his walks but his K rate is high over 30 percent last I checked.
DeleteMason Black who is one of their top pitching prospects dominated in AA and doing ok in AAA. It's exciting to think that they might have several pitching prospects knocking on the MLB door in 2024 led by Tristin Beck, Keaton Winn, Mason Black, Kyle Harrison , Carson Whisenhunt and others. No need to sign as many veteran starting pitchers in 2024.
