ReplyDeleteFZ raved about Meckler's bat to ball skills and plate discipline on a recent podcast with Pav's and made it sound like he'll be a big contributor to the SF Giants very soon. Great job by their scouts and player development people. He was drafted in the 8th round in 2022.
DeleteWho are the top 5 power hitters in our farm system? We are bottom 5 this year in homers at the big league level and none of our top prospects seem like true power hitters. I think there was a pretty realistic expectation that either JD, Conforto, Joc, Villar, Haniger, or even Lamont could reach the 30 HR mark this year but thats not happening. The pitching is good enough to win but we need bats….
