This game was not as close as the score would indicate as the Giants offense could not sustain an attack against BJ's starters Aaron Sanchez while Jake Peavy sweated his way through 112 pitches in 5 innings. Key Lines:
Jake Peavy- 5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 5 BB, 6 K's. ERA= 8.47. Peavy did a pretty good job of channeling Houdini on the mound, but if you walk a batter an inning against this lineup, you will eventually pay the price and 3 runs was all the Blue Jays needed against this anemic offense.
Albert Suarez- 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 0.00. Suarez was the siver lining for the second straight game and are they really going to send him out when Kontos gets back? Heck, Suarez had two dominant starts for Sacramento before he was called up. We could see him in the rotation before too long!
