Down on the Farm: 5/11/2016

AAA  Reno Aces edged out the Sacramento River Cats 4-3:

Grant Green 2B- 2 for 4, HR(5).  BA= .301.
Chris Stratton RHP- 6 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 1 BB, 4 K's.  ERA= 6.47.

Stratton allowed all 4 of his runs in the 3'rd inning.  Green seems to be prepping for a super-utility role.

AA  Harrisburg Senators outlasted the Richmond Flying Squirrels 2-1 in 12 innings:

Adalberto Mejia- 7.2 IP, 8 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 2.70.

Not exactly dominating peripheral stats but he got the job done and there is something to be said for getting into the 8'th inning.

High A  San Jose Giants doused the Bakersfield Blaze 7-4:

Ronnie Jebavy CF- 2 for 4, 2B.  BA= .211.
Jonah Arenado 3B- 2 for 4, HR(4).  BA= .242.
Martin Agosta RHP- 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 0.00.
Jose Reyes RHP- 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 6.00.

Agosta seems to maybe be taking Andrew Suarez' place in the SJ rotation?

Low A  Augusta Greenjackets were idle.

  1. yesterday, i found out that because of 3 rainouts, the baby giants will have to play 29 days straight. that is just wrong

  2. Any thoughts on Arenado? Has he got a chance to develop into something special like his brother, or is it a desperate hope?

    1. Nolan Arenado is one of the 10 best players in all of baseball, so that's a bit of a tall order for Jonah, but yeah, I think he's a legit prospect.

  3. Blackburn called up wow totally didn't see happening quit yet.

  4. Our old friend Tommy Joseph just got promoted by the Phillies.
