Down on the Farm: 5/17/2016

AAA Sacramento River Cats pounded the Memphis Redbirds 10-3:

Mitch Delfino 3B- 3 for 5, HR(3).  BA= .316.
Darren Ford CF- 3 for 5, HR(1).  BA= .257.
Phil McCormick LHP- 3.1 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 4.05.
Duke Welker RHP- 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 2.31.

My man, Mitch Delfino, is hitting over .300!  McCormick gets the start.  Is it a spot start or is he being transitioned to a SP?  I always thought he had more of a SP profile.

AA  Trenton Thunder edged out the Richmond Flying Squirrels 3-2 in 11 innings:

Austin Slater CF- 2 for 4, 2B, BB.  BA= .299.

Tyler Rogers RHP- 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 0.00.

Austin Slater is hot.  Crick is taking baby steps with his old San Jose catcher Jeff Arnold guiding him.  Rogers extends his scoreless streak to start the season to 18.2 IP.
