Down on the Farm: AFL Update

I don't think I've updated the AFL for a few days so let's take a look at the last 3 games:

10/24/2012  Scottsdale Scorpions edged the Mesa Solar Sox 4-3:

Gary Brown(LF)- 0 for 3, BB, CS(3).  BA= .258.
Joe Panik(SS)- 0 for 3, BB.  BA= .250.
Chris Dominguez(DH)- 1 for 3, HR(2), BB.  BA= .316.

Gary Brown still getting CS'd a lot.

10/25/2012  Scottsdale Scorpions defeated the Surprise Saguaros 6-3:

Joe Panik(SS)- 1 for 2, 2 BB, SB)(3).  BA= .265.
Dan Runzler(LHP)- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K's. ERA= 0.00.
Heath Hembree(RHP)- 1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 0 K's.  ERA= 1.80.

Runzler now has 7 K's against 0 BB's in 5 IP in the AFL.  That backs up a K/BB of 34/15 in AAA this year.  Hopefully he's turned a corner in his control struggles.

10/26/2012  Mesa Solar Sox beat the Scottsdale Scorpions 8-4:

Gary Brown(CF)- 1 for 4, BB.  BA= .257.
Ricky Oropesa(1B)- 0 for 3, BB.  BA= .240.
Chris Gloor(LHP)- 5 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 2.65.
Jacob Dunnington(RHP)- 1.1 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 3.38.

Gloor has had a strong AFL working as a starter with 14 K's against 5 BB's in 17 IP.  I would expect to see him in Fresno in 2013 with the possibility of an emergency callup if needed for either a starting or long relief role.
