AAA Fresno Grizzlies edged the Reno Aces 4-3:

Emmanuel Burriss(2B)- 2 for 4, SB(19). BA= .368.
Brandon Crawford(SS)- 2 for 4, SB(1). BA= .500.
Dan Runzler(LHP)- 5 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 3 K's, GO/AO= 8/1. ERA= 4.31.
Dan Otero(RHP)- 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K. ERA= 2.70.

Brandon Crawford makes his AAA debut! Christian is red hot. Hey, maybe the Giants should give him a try in CF before he cools off! OK start for Runzler but too many walks again.

AA New Hampshire Fisher Cats topped the Richmond Flying Squirrels 7-6:

Charlie Culberson(2B)- 1 for 4, HR(8). BA= .264.
Roger Kieschnick(LF)- 1 for 2, HR(14), 2 BB. BA= .268.
Chris Dominguez(3B)- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .255.
Wes Hodges(1B)- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .327.
Johnny Monell(C)- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .257.
Justin Fitzgerald(RHP)- 6 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 8 K's. ERA= 3.19.

Roger Kieschnick is putting together a fairly solid season for the environment. Fitz has 19 K's with just 1 BB in his last 2 starts. While his overall K/BB is 82/41 in 110 IP, he has a 47/12 ratio in 48.2 IP over his last 10 starts.

High A Inland Empire 66'ers blanked the San Jose Giants 4-0:

Tommy Joseph(C)- 2 for 4. BA= .256.
Alex Burg(3B)- 1 for 3, 2B. BA= .304.

Joseph was well enough to play catcher on a hot summer afternoon. Game time temp was listed as 75 degrees. Don't believe it. It was a lot hotter in the Inland Empire this afternoon and very humid.

Low A Savannah Sand Gnats downed the Augusta Greenjackets 8-3:

Rafael Rodriguez(DH)- 1 for 3, 2B, BB. BA= .241.
Devin Harris(LF)- 1 for 3, 3B, BB. BA= .213.
Edward Concepcion(RHP)- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K. ERA= 3.43.

Short Season Boise Hawks topped the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 8-5:

Jesus Galindo(CF)- 3 for 5, 2 2B, SB(21). BA= .288.
Joe Panik(SS)- 2 for 4, SF. BA= .344.
Garrett Buechele(3B)- 2 for 3, 2B, 2 BB. BA= .258.
Reiner Roibal(RHP)- 6 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 3.53.

Rookie AZL Dodgers pounded the Giants 14-6:

Ben Thomas(DH)- 3 for 5, HR(6). BA= .346.
Brian Nicholson(1B)- 3 for 4, 2B, 3B. BA= .358.
Kyle Crick(RHP)- 0.2 IP, 3 H, 5 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 0 K's. ERA= 3.18.

First stumble by Crick. When the gametime temp is 100 degrees in Arizona, you know balls are going to fly. I'm pretty sure there are no humidors in rookie league either.

DSL Rangers beat the Giants 7-2 in a game completed after the top of the 8'th inning:

Adalberto Mejia(LHP, 18 yo)- 6 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 3 BB, 6 K's. ERA= 1.12.

Worst start of the season for Mejia. Still a QS.
