  3. Kay,

Wilson has been known as BWeezy in some circles for quite awhile. Also, the Giants built a whole marketing campaign on Rowand being a "gamer" when they signed him as a free agent.

  4. Bacci,

Yup, barring injury of course, I think Timmy is out to take back the Cy Young Award, Roy Halladay notwithstanding.

  5. rowand is making it very hard for the org

as much as i would love to see zito gone....rowand should be first on the list

however, his weak spring is gonna make him impossible to trade....however....the phils again are in need of an of

rowand is perfect for that band box of a park...he loved it there...the fans loved him

    giants gotta make the deal

    puts nate on the roster....

baggs has a very good article on the mindset change regarding the development of position players

  6. Yeah Bacc,

I'm just not so sure the Phils are takers for Rowand. I think the Giants might just end up eating the contract and releasing him. Frankly, I'd keep Darren Ford over Rowand. Even if they only used Ford as a pinch-runner, he'd win a game here and there with his speed. Rowand gives the Giants nothing right now.

  7. Bacci,

You don't happen to have a link for that article on the Giants mindset about position prospects, do you? I know it's out there, but haven't been able to track it down.

    sorry...shoulda posted earlier

and i think that ford and belt are starting the year in fresno....

not that they cant make the team, they can...but i think the fo is gonna look for decker and his coaches to work on some finer points with both guys

its also better for both to be working everyday, rather than coming off the bench

ive been pretty impressed by most of the young guys this spring

lots of credit must go to bobby evans, who i am sure is a shoo-in to take over for sabean when he decides to step down
