  1. Rayner Arias just turned 18 a couple months ago, so still very high hopes for him as he settles in stateside and hopefully starts tapping into some extra base power as his pitch recognition and comfort with the level increases.

Curiously keeping an eye on Aeverson Arteaga, always seemed to have flashes and streaks with the bat where he appears to be the real thing and then goes cold for prolonged stretches. Would love to see him put it together and either put some pressure on the big league roster in the next couple years in the middle of the infield or become a valuable trade chip.

Side note: the Sugarland Space Cowboys have to be a Top 5 team name, even by the epic standards of minor league baseball.

  2. I had kind of forgotten about Meckler, but he still does draw Steven Kwan comps. If he's finally healthy maybe he should take over in LF for Conforto, who has sunken to the level of marginal journeyman. Then at least the team would see if Meckler may be part of the future, particularly with Matos struggling again. Otherwise he's occupying a tenuous roster spot on the 40.
