Tyler Beede RHP- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K.  ERA= 6.63.

This was Tyler Beede's 3'rd scoreless appearance in a row.  Baby steps.

Chase Johnson is working on a string of 17 consecutive scoreless innings.  Patrick Ruotolo used 14 pitches to strike out all 3 batters he faced.

  1. Heath Quinn should get moved up. Great 2016 @ SJ, injury-marred 2017, resets @ SJ this year and is raking: .368 last 10 games, with 4 HRs, only 1 @ RC.
    At 23 yo, if the Giants don't move him up, the injury will cost him 2 years rather than just one.
    Of course the Giants know what they're doing. Other than Luigi, Squirrels don't have an OFer hitting above .250

    LHP Domenic Mazza has joined the #SJGiants. Mazza was a South Atlantic League All-Star last season in Augusta (3.01 ERA in 19 starts). Memorably threw a perfect game last year. Also made two starts with SJ late in '17. Mazza missed entire first half while rehabbing a back injury.
