  1. Any idea whether Duggar can play CF at the major league level? I seem to recall he was drafted as a corner OF but is said to have good speed and a strong arm.

    1. I'm going to say Duggar COULD play CF at the MLB level, but probably at no more than average D. I assume there is a reason why Jebavy played CF when they were both in SJ.

  2. The thought crossed my mind that maybe the Giants think highly enough of Beede not to include him in a trade. Heard that Sabean spent a few days in Richmond to scout their players.

    1. Agree completely. I think we've seen way too much focus on who the Giants sent out and not nearly enough on who they kept and why those players made them feel like they could make the trades.

    2. I also have to laugh that Dave Cameron lists all 3 of the trades the Giants made among his 5 best "sells" of the deadline trades meaning those 3 teams got the best return on "selling" veteran players. Of course there was not mention of how this was possible when they were trading with a team with one of the weaker farm systems in baseball. Also no mention that all 3 players the Giants received have extra years of team control on their contracts, so they were pretty good "buys" too!

    3. Lol. Yeah, Dave Cameron is a joke at this point. Basically a self fulfilling prophecy of his own whimsical fancy.
