AAA  Sacramento River Cats defeated the Tacoma Rainiers 6-2:

Jarrett Parker(RF)- 4 for 4, 2 HR(6).  BA= .293.

Mike Broadway(RHP)- 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K.  ERA= 1.04.

Right now, the depth chart for the Giants OF is pretty crowded, but Parker is making a case to be in the mix if a need should arise.

  1. Nice to see Blach get up off the canvas after the drubbing he took last time out.

I wonder if Horan is having a Gary-Brown reaction to having been passed over for promotion to Richmond. He's a VA guy; friends and family probably expected to see him there this year.

    1. Let's give Horan more than 3+ weeks before we start speculating on why he may or may not be performing up to expectations. He has hit 3 dingers so far, so it's not been all bad.

  2. Fargas was very aggressive on the basepaths.

Not too many SBs lately. I think I saw a few CSs recently.

How much longer will Arroyo be out? Any update? Thanks.

  3. Hi Doc, Is this a dead cat bounce from Raf Rod or has there been any news out of San Jose that something may be clicking for him? He has been around seemingly forever, but he is still young enough to have a good future if he has started to figure things out.

    1. RafRod seems to have figured out how to maintain a high BA by slapping the ball around, but I seriously doubt the Giants envisioned a slap hitter when they gave him that signing bonus at age 16.
