Well, that didn't take long. The Giants basically took the day off handing the Rangers an easy win. Key Lines:
The Giants offense managed just 3 harmless hits.
Tim Lincecum- 5.2 IP, 9 H, 5 R, 4 BB, 5 K's. ERA= 6.00. Timmy appeared to have no idea where any of his pitches were going. He'd look great one batter then terrible for 3. Even on the 3 pitch K of Kinsler to open the game, the third pitch was a breaking ball that hung up around the letters and Kinsler just swung and missed. It was not a good pitch at all. Velocity was 92-93 early on, but if that is being generated by extra effort, it may be contributing to the wildness. It still think Timmy will most likely get back on track at some point, but gotta wonder.
The Dodgers pounded the Seattle Mariners so the Giants fall back to 5 games behind the NL West leaders.
The Giants get a needed day off before starting a 3 game series against the 'Stros who have a good aggressive young lineup. Madison Bumgarner starts it off facing Bud Norris on Tuesday evening.

timmy has nothing and pablo is too fat to man 3rd base...and sorry doc, but you cant sugar coat either
ReplyDeletethere is no way this team is going to the post with a worthless ace and a fat man at the hot corner
Bacci, what about the other 7 players?
ReplyDeletePablo didn't lose this game. Timmy on the other hand did...not so good, again.
Still think Timmy's 20+ lb. weight gain/loss, IN-N-OUT diet, and swimming training undid his body and now it's in his mind. And Daddy L. ain't the magic answer. Timmy has to reset his foundation and maybe that takes missing a start. Free #Petit? No more Happy Timmy Day, bummer.
Well, there's the small matter of the offense generating a grand total of 3 hits. That contributed and Pablo was only of small part of that too. Yeah, Timmy was not good, but he could have gone 7 and allowed 1 run and they still would have lost.
