Gotta say, Mike Caldwell seems to be doing a bangup job as pitching coach in Augusta this year. Escobar's numbers have looked stronger with each successive start.

Looks like Brown has finally figured things out. Hopefully he can continue.

Is that Mike Caldwell, former Giants pitcher? Always regretted their trading him.
It appears the rumors of Gary Brown's demise have been greatly exaggerated...
ReplyDeleteI think Marte was the pitcher I saw against the Angeles' single A team in San Bernardino last year.

Don't know if it was the same game, but I was impressed by Marte too. He hit 93 on the pitch tracker's radar guns who were sitting behind me and looked like he had a good changeup and breaking ball to go with it.
