The Giants in this one were the traveling half of a split squad. They fell behind early, fought back to a temporary tie, but ultimately couldn't keep up with the home Angels squad. Key Lines:
Aubrey Huff- 2 for 3, HR(2). I still think the starting 1B gig is Huff's to lose, and games like this keep him in control of his destiny.
The Giants take on the Mariners in Scottsdale tomorrow in a game I plan to attend. Buster Posey is scheduled to catch 4 innings and Brian Wilson is scheduled to make his first spring appearance.

I watched 5 innings of this game. Freddy Sanchez looked solid with the bat, as did Huff Daddy (who had a silly throwing error in a rundown also).
ReplyDeleteGot to see Susac in action for the first time but barely, he pounced on the first pitch and hammered a line drive to left. Loved his stance, and he showed good defense behind the dish. Very excited about Susac.
Got my first look at Steven Harrold. He had jitters. Also saw Jarrett Parker, his stance and baserunning style look very awkward to me.
Can't wait for the live report. Have a great game! Hope you get to see Wilson as well as Posey.
I'm thinking about trying to do some live blogging with my iPad.
ReplyDeleteRicky O got into the home game yesterday. Heard it on the radio. We gave him a cheer in the car.
