Ryan Lollis- 2 for 2, BB, S. BA= .292.
Chris Heston- 7 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 7 K's. ERA= 4.15.

Heston's line for his last 10 games is 2-5, 2.70, 63.1 IP, 14 BB, 51 K's, GO/AO= 1.83. Hector Sanchez' line for his last 10 games is .389/.450/.528.

Short Season Eugene Emeralds crushed the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 10-0:

Rookie AZL Royals beat the Giants 7-4:

RafRod- 2 for 4, SB(1). BA= .300.
Chuckie Jones- 3 for 4. BA= .297.
Joe Staley- 2 for 4. BA= .231.

Reiner Roibal- 1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 0.00.

Raffy just turned 18 on July 13, so he's still ahead of of development curve. He's hitting .375 over his last 10 games. Jones is even younger having turned 18 on July 28. He's hitting .366 over his last 10 games. The Giants seem to be basically holding pitching tryouts as Mendoza went the longest out of 7 pitchers they used in the game.

DSL Giants downed the Cubs 10-6:

Shurendell Daniel Mujica(I really hope they call him Danny): 2 for 5. BA= .201.
Jorge Lopez- 4 for 5, 2B, 3B, HR(1), SB(5). BA= .244.
Leonardo Fuentes- 1 for 5, 2B. BA= .242.
Victor Feliz- 4 for 4, BB. BA= .279.
Cesar Soto- 3 for 5, 2B. BA= .208.
Keurin Feliz- 6 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 5 K's. ERA= 1.70.

Lopez hits for the cycle!! Feliz is turning 20 yo and has uninspiring secondary stats.

  1. I believe you meant Charles Jones just turned 18 but keep up the good work. This is my favorite place for Giants minor league news.

  2. I feel almost incomplete when Richmond doesn't play. No Belt stats!

  3. Good info on Belt and Escobar from BA: http://www.baseballamerica.com/blog/prospects/?p=10004

  4. Thanks for the link, OGC. Yes, I read that. Escobar is really moving up the Giants prospect ranks in my book. He's had a very solid season in the NWL which is a league mostly for college draftees. He's only 18 years old which is a full 2 years younger than the next youngest player on the team, Chris Lofton. He's given up too many walks, but that is a common problem for very young, high-ceiling pitching prospects. The K/9 is >9 and he has a positive GO/AO. With the dearth of high ceiling pitching in the system right now, he might actually deserve to be ranked #2 behind Wheeler. I'm mentally penciling him into the Giants top 10 prospects for this offseason.
