  1. with hunter bishop on the rise and luis matos trending down, could matos suddenly find himself on the trading block with bishop getting close to leapfrogging him on the depth chart.

    1. If we've learned anything from following Heliot Ramos and Hunter Bishop, it's don't give up on top prospects. Matos is still quite young and just needs some more seasoning. Too early to speculate on what might happen at the trade deadline.

    3. Rosters do NOT expand like the "good old days" – only to 28, and one is likely a pitcher

  2. IF Bishop keeps this pace, he could be the Giants' best chip at the trading deadline, but would they dare?
    In any event, unless he reverts to earlier form, they will have a big decision at season's end: 40-man roster, trade, or expose him (again).
