Keep an eye on Cayama, he might have the highest ceiling out of all the pitchers listed in the DSL, 17 Yo and already throwing mid to upper 90s.
ReplyDeleteTwo Giant pitchers that have flown under the radar are Nick SInacola and Jack Choate..After a real good 1st half at Eugene, Sincaloa, 24, has been lights out after being promoted to AA Richmond and his first game jitters. (4G 22IP 17 H/BB and 3 ER).. Choate, 23, has been great all year in Eugene in 15 starts (67 IP, WHIP 0.93 .197 BAA 2.01 ERA) and next up for RICHMOND..Neither seem to have control problems. OTOH, they might be "pitchers" rather than high stuff guys
ReplyDeleteGiants have a boat load of pitching talent in the minors, almost all still learning. The big questions will be who percolates to the top and who gets dealt??
