One day after what might be the Giants worst offensive performance of the season, they exploded for their best in a runaway win to even the 4 games series at one game each.
The Giants hit 5 HRs in this game, one each by Mike Yastrzemski CF, Joc Pederson LF/RF, Thairo Estrada 2B/LF, Jason Vosler 3B, and Brandon Crawford SS. Crawford's was a 2-out grand slam in the 7'th inning.
YtY and Brandon Crawford each had 5 RBI's.
Wilmer Flores 1B/2B had 3 hits and reached base 5 times from the leadoff spot in the lineup. YtY, Evan Longoria DH and Estrada added 2 hits each.
Curt Casali C was the only member of the starting lineup to not reach base and
the only one to not have a hit.
Before the game, Luis Gonzalez OF was named NL Rookie of the Month but had to come out of the game when he couldn't shake off a HBP to the leg in the second inning.
Alex Cobb RHP was scheduled to start for the Giants but was a late scratch and went on the IL with back stiffness. That turned it into a bullpen game with John Brebbia RHP opening. Sean Hjelle RHP made just his second appearance of the season starting with the second inning. He looked great for 2 innings before getting touched up for 2 runs in the 4'th inning. He got out of the inning nicely with his 5'th strikeout. 8 of the 9 outs Hjelle recorded came on either K's or groundballs. Translation: He pitched very well!
Donovan Walton PR/2B/RHP was the positional mop-up pitcher in the 9'th allowing 3 of the Marlins 6 runs.

Logan Webb RHP tries to give the Giants the lead in the series tomorrow facing Pablo Lopez RHP who is having a tremendous season.
